Afternoon tea break with my Notebook magazine

I’m very excited to have some of my fabric covered magnets in the August 2010 edition of Notebook magazine. Can you see them amongst all that loveliness – the 4 green floral buttons in the middle if the page.
It’s such a fabulous publication, celebrating and encouraging handmade and craft and clever design and yummy food. There is an article in this one called “15 Awesome Things – the secret to a sunny outlook is seeing beauty in the small stuff”, from The Book of Awesome, a book celebrating little triumphs by Neil Pasricha. It had me guffawing out loud! Chortling even.

Number 1
Returning to your warm and comfy bed after getting up to pee in the middle of the night. Blind and stumbling, you grunt and scratch your way back to your wrinkled sheet cave after an epic journey through the frozen bathroom wilderness. AWESOME!
A sheet cave – isn’t that the best! And did I mention they have yummy food too? They do. And it looks yummy! And here’s another little triumph, on my list of things to do today I have Make More Magnets. AWESOME!
