Any francophile worth her weight in cheese and eclairs would know today is Bastille Day!
The very first time I visited Paris was on a Bastille Day (many years ago, we won’t count them!) and I couldn’t have imagined a more appropriate way to be introduced to this fabulous country than in the middle of a celebration.
My heart always wanders to France when given half the chance and in the meantime I might just pop on my Funny Face dvd for my afternoon’s crochet session.
Thinking of France, watching Audrey Hepburn, crocheting …. c’est la vie!
Bonjour Paris song on the top of the Eiffel Tower from Funny Face, image from the gorgeously titled Stirred Straight Up blog.
One of my favourite scenes, the balloon scene in front of the Arc de Triomphe, found at Como ser Peter Bogdanovich blog (which looks marvellous, if only I could read it!)
