Delicious Summer! Delicious adventurous days between Christmas and New Year! A road trip!
We piled into the car and headed west, under a tunnel, around the city, past the industrial docks and containers and finally onto open road. I have to say there’s something mesmerising about containers all stacked up. Maybe it’s their neatness? You know I love things lined up neatly!
Finally we were on the Great Ocean Road. I crocheted, we listened to the cricket, we chatted. Our destination was Apollo Bay to see my lovely friend Jo at her pop up shop. She runs Frankie and Ray and it would be fair to say I’m a bit of a fan with numerous tops, a belt, some scarves, a skirt and a tea cosy to my name and now I can add some cushions to my haul! Talk about a stalker!
It was just the perfect day, the sky got bluer the further we went, the coast was breathtaking. We trekked up to a lookout and wandered through coastal parks. Our return was through the magical Otway National Park and through farmland, dotted with adorable haystacks.
And I have new cushions.
