June went something like this …

Drawn to this palette
The month started with a new colour crush. I didn’t even realise I was making this combo. It sort of just happened on its own, I can’t deny it, it’s filling up my camera roll – navy, mint, yellow, peach and coral is everywhere! Where do these things come from, it’s a creative mystery!

Sydney
I took a trip to Sydney for Finders Keepers and stayed with my best friend (we’ve known each other since we were 4 and she’s all kinds of wonderful!) and we discovered the best ever dumplings, EVER. Soup dumplings. That would be dumplings … with soup inside. Soup. Inside. Dumplings. Soup dumplings. OMG.

I was a bit chuffed to have my baskets pop up in the paper.

Then, we flew to Thailand! Yep, we flew over a rainbow for 2 weeks of beaches and warmth *sigh*.

Beach life - Thai style
Beach soccer at sunset. World Cup fever was everywhere and we had some very amusing chats with the locals about who is the best and who’s going to win. Interestingly, the finals are this week and these guys were spot on!

Is there anything more dreamy than a tropical pool, with elephant water spouts (natch), and frangipani trees and water falls and gardens and beautiful settings *sigh*.

Elevenses, Thai-style, comes in a coconut! And what’s lunch if it doesn’t come in a pineapple with an icy cold beer dripping with condensation.

Happy hour
We got totally into this dice game called Shut The Box. We bought one of our own and carried it with us to the beach each day. If you’ve seen it in the background of my Instagram pics and wondered what it is, this is what it is!

Can it really be work if it’s done poolside with a cocktail in a coconut by your side?

And then we had a mini stopover in Singapore on our way home. Singapore! All that colour! Those mad buildings! And unsurprisingly, there’s that colour combo again …

It’s quite possible I’m most productive sitting in airport departure lounges!

And now it’s July, it’s grey and gloomy, it’s dark all day and night time arrives suddenly at 5pm with no lingering twilight, it’s tax time (bleugh) and I’m wearing a thousand layers of woolly clothes.

And no sign of anything in a coconut.
