I just had a boiled egg for lunch. I know you really wanted to know that! The exciting bit about my boiled egg for lunch was the chance to use my brand new Loope Egg Cosy! It’s by the gorgeous Edwina Bolger and I was next to her stall at Mathilda’s Market yesterday.

It was so lovely to say Hello to people who know me through my blog. Not to mention another chance to catch up with market peeps. I was next to Morgan Wills and Edwina, and we shared plenty of giggles, cheerios and shared experiences (never will I go a market without at least a muesli bar to cope with emergency starving moments!).
Edwina and I met in 2006 during an orientation for our very first Magnolia Square event. Way back when the event was held in a gorgeous little warehouse in East Malvern, it felt very french provincial with it’s rustic-ness and barn-door charm, and I had only done a handful of markets and was so new to the whole deal of making things and then (gasp) marketing and (double gasp) selling my things! You could say I was a little overwhelmed. Glad I stuck with it.
My beautiful egg cosies now live in the special drawer in the kitchen with my napkins, tea towels, trivets and tea pot cosy (thanks Frankie and Ray!)

Speaking of Magnolia Square, another first for me is to take my goodies to an interstate Magnolia Square. The Caravan of Crayons will be driving to Sydney this week for the next event held at the Oaks Marquee, Randwick Racecourse. And you know how I love a road trip! And a Tour de Country Bakery, and a bit of wide open spaces, and a talking book (or 3) to keep me company, and a vanilla slice evaluation …….. especially the vanilla slice evaluation!
