One Day Project: Tree Spotting

Tree Spotting

In the spirit of my One Day Project – and I’m ignoring the fact this has taken me a couple of days – I’ve taken Norma, my treasured grown-up camera, on some photo walks and bike rides around the neighbourhood in the pursuit of the discarded Christmas Tree fading in the summer sun on the nature strip.

The idea for this little project started a few years ago when I first started to notice these retired Christmas Trees thrown aside like yesterdays news, and I totally loved seeing their faded glamour, like vintage vaudeville stars.

I honestly seem to spend more time with my eyes at my feet rather than the path ahead on my walks, it’s no wonder so many little things catch my eye, like this magpie feather which I surprisingly didn’t bring home to add to my collection of Bits Picked Up On My Walk.
Trees clearly exempt!

Mookah - Yep. Definately. You are the one person I would expect to go in pursuit of photos of discarded xmas trees……

And I mean that in a good way. (of course)

By the way, I have to give you some praise. But clearly this is not the time nor the place. Wait for it….

Frankie and Ray - Oh, that’s hysterical! What happens to them all I wonder? I’m feeling slightly and completely illogically sorry for them…
