A few weeks ago I posted a photo of a beautiful lake at dusk called “Don’t forget to breath“. There was a cryptic secret squirrel Christmas reference given and it was all to do with these cushions I had made for my Mum for Christmas. And given my Mum is my most frequent reader (Hi, Mum!) I couldn’t say too much at the time without giving the game away.
Well now I can give you the whole story! I’ve since caught up with Mum and proudly handed over her Christmas present. These cushions, featuring some photos I’d taken on the trip we took together last year to Canada and Alaska, were almost too gorgeous to hand over. I quite enjoyed my window seat, my room with a view!
It was Mum’s first trip overseas and a life-long destination of hers to visit the Canadian Rockies. It was a marvellous holiday together, just us girls. I called it The Golden Girls On Tour. It was such a precious time spent together I will treasure forever. I simply love a mountain and lake and had a few hundred photos from our trip to pick from!
I met these fabulous girls from Frankie and Swiss who print images onto fabric. It was too easy. I downloaded an order form, sent my images and their printer, Florence, did the rest. Voila, cushions! All online, so anyone interested interstate can do it too. It’s the coolest thing and I can’t wait to go through some of my favourite photos to have made up into cushions for our couch. Which could be a little tricky, the last time we went away I came back with nearly 1,000 photos.
So a girl likes to take a picture!
