There’s no doubt about it, we are only weeks from winter and the mornings are brisk and scarf-y. I stood on my front step this morning watching my breath in the chilled air before me. I love that bit, when it’s cold and you can see your breath!
The other bit I love is wearing scarves and nowhere wears scarves as well as Melbourne.
It turns out this season I was wanting a ‘boyfriend’ version, a unisex stripe. Long and stripe-y and loopy, a bit like Doctor Who (don’t laugh, I love The Doctor). Wish I had The Doctor’s ability to visit the future and see what a nightmare it is to work with stripes! All those colour changes and weaving in ends I could well do without, but then I wouldn’t have a fabulous new stripe-y scarf!
I’ve been making these woollen scarves and selling them at markets. I intend to pop them online soon so keep an eye out.
