My elephant pencil case, from Oxfam, is my favourite and travels the world with me full of crafting and creating bits and bobs, like glue sticks and sticky tape for all my obsessive journalling.
I’m very excited about planning a visit to the Embroiderers Guild this Saturday to pick up some stitching stuff!
The flyer says “the cupboards of Embroidery House (don’t you just love there’s a place called Embroidery House!) are full to explosion point with wonderful donated goods from members and estates.”
Let’s see, I think I’ll take a big shopping tote – I’m told there will be books, fabric, thread, hoops, wools, notions and all at bargain prices!

A mad patchworked hat brought home from Thailand has me inspired to stitch every time I look at it.
My friends went to Vietnam and brought me this beautiful present, Megan says the stitching reminded her of me!
And this clearly isn’t stitched, but when I came across this cheeky girl in a french textile magazine wearing a gorgeous stitched dress I knew I just had to capture her in this pen and ink piece.
