Sunday perfection

Having a market-free weekend feels like a mini-holiday. Today was the most luxurious day, a bit of this, a bit of that. I even did some work but it didn’t feel like I’d compromised my weekend at all. Sadly I won’t have another day like this for a while with lots of markets coming up, trips interstate, fundraisers on their way. I’m about to do some more work this evening, which seems like a funny way to think of enjoying a weekend, but I absolutely love what I do and it’s a much nicer feeling when I don’t feel swamped and overwhelmed. By Thursday I might be changing my tune and waving a fist of frustration for getting behind and not working like a robot today … c’est la vie!

Meanwhile I’ve been quite excited to find Kids With Crayons in Shop 4 Kids and it was a good excuse to sit down at the table and linger over all the weekend papers and some new magazines, a plate of scrummy poached eggs, crunchy toast and a bottomless pot of tea.
A perfect Sunday!
All made even more lovely by working with Ruby’s gorgeous love heart lady. I’ll be sad to say goodbye to this little smiley face sitting by my front door!
