Winter flowers

Winter garden posy
A little forage in my winter garden at this time of the year is always rewarding. They are small, and few, but the flower’s fragrance more than makes up for it. Is there a sweeter smell than the daphne which I can smell half way down the street? Just one or two blooms along with a quince blossom and some freesias and I have the sweetest little posy for my bathroom. And it was just the inspiration I needed for this week’s theme in my online POP Up shop – The Dressing Table.

Also, at this time of the year, I usually enjoy some birthday tulips. These ones were tight little buds and I’ve enjoyed watching them open and sprawl, in the elegant way tulips go a little wild and floppy. And they were for my birthday, and that makes them extra sweet!
